Crave That Mineral

My game is about a mountain goat that is in search of a mineral. In real life, mountain goats climb mountains in order to lick a very specific kind of mineral or salt. This game is inspired by a meme called “I Crave That Mineral”. “I Crave that Mineral” is an expression stemming from a captioned photograph of an ibex, (a wild goat that lives in the European Alps), licking salt off the side of a mountain that was submitted to Tumblr in late October of 2014. I chose to create a game based on pop culture because I knew that the majority of my playing audience would be people around my age who also enjoy memes. Players must utilize the right and left arrow key to move the goat and the spacebar to jump. The goal of this game is to successfully jump from rock ledge to rock ledge, (in an upward fashion), in order to reach the mineral. As players play, they should notice that certain jumps are more difficult to complete either due to the great distance between ledges or narrowness.
